Our clients were looking for a luxurious, custom designed single storey home to suit their retirement needs. The design was to incorporate several design elements from our Balwyn North custom show home and to maximize natural light throughout the home. The end result offers an abundance of natural light, wide open spaces, soaring high ceilings and offers substantial accommodation including 4 bedrooms, a separate study, 2 living spaces, luxurious main bathroom and an interconnecting laundry, butler’s pantry and kitchen.

    A high quality yet understated façade is in keeping with the luxurious interior layout and finishes.  Upon entering the home, soaring 3.5m ceilings immediately draw your attention, created by the raised portico roof.  The sumptuous master suite offers hotel style robe and ensuite. The study and living rooms draw natural light through into the hallway and overlook private landscaped courtyard areas.

    Generously sized secondary bedrooms each provide for queen sized beds and are serviced by an adjacent main bathroom incorporating an oversize shower and freestanding bath wrapped by the corner window treatment. The large laundry offers ample storage, practical raised washing machine and dryer spaces. The interconnection from laundry through the panty to the kitchen provides functionality that was an important element of the design brief.

Polished porcelain tiles, recessed door tracks and flush tiled alfresco area, semi commercial window frames, cornerless cavity sliding doors, stone benchtops, handle free joinery, soft close drawers, integrated appliances, wine racks and gloss finishes all combine to give the feeling of a high end hotel.

    The gas log fire place in the family room is a central feature of this space, complimented by in built joinery and natural limestone tiling. Large windows and ceiling bulkheads of differing depths create a luxurious ambience of the hub of the home.
